Stepping Stone Schools have been exciting, unique places to learn and grow since 1968. Camille Brown, owner and Executive Director, has always believed that learning should be fun so that students will become life-long learners. Designed with working parents in mind, the Preschool, serving 6 weeks through age 4, is open 7 am – 6 pm. The program is nationally accredited through NECPA and offers an excellent curriculum and environment for those most important early learning years. Enhancements to the curriculum include: Brain Gym, Spanish, Music and Montessori Math. Additional extra-curricular activities offered in the afternoon are: Karate, Gymnastics, Dance and Computer.

Stepping Stone Elementary began in 1995 and now encompasses Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. C. Brown Middle School began in 2000. These programs meet TEA guidelines as well as national standards and have three national, TEA-recognized accreditations: NECPA, TAAPS, and NEPSA. The student culture is diverse and the teaching staff and administration are experienced, dedicated and believe in our mission, “to guide children to be successful, life-long learners through individualized, hands-on instruction in a small, caring environment.” Davis Learning Strategies, Brain Gym, and Loving Guidance/Conscious Discipline are incorporated into a multi-faceted curriculum to enhance academic achievement and success for all students. We believe in activity and the fine arts, so our curriculum includes: Library, Music, Art, Spanish/Sign Language, Physical Education/Recess, Computer/Writing Lab, Montessori Math (PreK), and a Literacy Lab for PreK and Kindergarten classes.
Our schools offer before and after school care with daily activities as well as an extensive summer program. Extra-curricular activities include: Karate, Gymnastics, Dance, Guitar, Drama, Running Team, Clay Lab and Spirit Squad.

In addition, our students have the opportunity to compete in various academic events where they consistently place in the top 10%, as well as participate in field trips, community service and leadership activities throughout the year. We also have a “Grandfriend Connection” with Prestige Estates. Our programs have received National Promising Practices Awards, BSCENE “Best Of”, National Safety Awards, plus the BBB Torch Award for ethics in business.
